LMEC-15B Sound velocity Apparatus(Resonance Tube)

Short Description:

The instrument uses loudspeakers to produce audible sound waves with continuously adjustable frequency, which resonates in the air column to measure the wavelength of sound waves, measure the speed of audible sound, and study the relationship between sound speed and frequency.
Compared with the old equipment, the water column has the advantages of large moving range, continuously variable measuring frequency, high accuracy of measurement results, convenient use and durable structure.

Main technical specifications
1. Resonance tube: the tube wall is marked with scale, the scale accuracy is 1 mm, and the total length is not less than 95 cm; Dimensions: effective length is about 1m, inner diameter is 34mm, outer diameter is 40mm; Material: high quality transparent plexiglass;
2. Stainless steel funnel: for adding water. It can be easily removed when it is not in use, and it does not affect the up and down movement of the water container when it is placed on the water container during the experiment;
3. Tunable sound wave generator (signal source): frequency range: 0 ~ 1000Hz, adjustable, divided into two frequency bands, the signal is sine wave, distortion ≤ 1%. The frequency is displayed by the frequency meter, and the power output amplitude is continuously adjustable to achieve the effect of adjustable speaker volume;
4. Water container: the bottom is connected with the resonance tube through a silicone rubber tube, and the top is conveniently filled with water through a funnel; It can move up and down through the vertical pole, and will not collide with other parts;
5. Loudspeaker (horn): power is about 2Va, frequency range is 50-2000hz;
6. Bracket: including heavy base plate and supporting pole, used to support resonance tube and water container.
