Pointer type DC ammeter and voltmeter are refitted from meter head. The meter head is usually a magnetoelectric galvanometer, which only allows the current of micro ampere or milliampere level to pass through. Generally, it can only measure very small current and voltage. In practical use, it must be modified to enlarge its measuring range if it is to measure large current or voltage. The modified meter should be calibrated with standard meter and its accuracy level should be determined. This instrument provides a complete set of experimental equipment for refitting micro ammeter into milliammeter or voltmeter.
