The instrument provides three kinds of magnetoresistance sensors, which are multilayer giant magnetoresistance sensor, spin valve giant magnetoresistance sensor and anisotropic magnetoresistance sensor. It helps students understand the principle and application of different magnetoresistance effects, the instrument is safe and reliable, and the experiment content is rich. It can be used in basic physics experiment, modern physics experiment and comprehensive design physics experiment in Colleges and universities and secondary schools.

Experiments

1. Understand magneto-resistance effects and measure the magnetic resistance R_b of three different materials.

2. Plot diagram of R_b/R₀ with B and find the max value of resistance relative change (R_b-R₀)/R₀.

3. Learn how to calibrate magneto-resistance sensors & calculate the sensitivity of three magneto-resistance sensors.

4. Measure the output voltage and the current of three magneto-resistance sensors.

5. Plot the magnetic hysteresis loop of a spin-valve GMR.
